This itinerary will allow you to experience the natural beauty and grandeur of the Colca Canyon in just one day, with the chance to see condors in their natural habitat. Remember to bring warm clothing, as the weather in the canyon can be chilly, and a camera to capture the stunning landscapes and condor sightings.
- ITINERARY
Itinerary: Colca Canyon Full Day Tour
– Departure Time: The journey starts early at 2:45 AM with pick-up from your hotel in Arequipa.
– Route: The trip heads north, skirting the Chachani Volcano, and continues towards Chivay. The estimated travel time to Chivay is around 3.5 hours.
– Breakfast in Chivay: Upon arrival in Chivay, you’ll enjoy breakfast in this charming town.
– Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint: After breakfast, the journey continues for about 2 hours to reach the “Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint,” located at 3,500 meters above sea level. Here, you’ll witness the majestic flight of condors and take in the panoramic views of the Colca Canyon, which is 1,200 meters deep.
– Time at the Viewpoint: You’ll spend around 2 hours at the Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint, enjoying the scenery and watching these magnificent birds.
– Return to Chivay: On the way back to Chivay, you’ll stop at several interesting spots, such as Pinchollo, to see pre-Inca Hanging Tombs and the Petromaqueta of the Colca Valley. Additional stops include the Antahuilque Viewpoint, the villages of Maca, Achoma, and Yanque, where you can admire Yanque’s impressive baroque-style temple.
– Hot Springs: Back in Chivay, you’ll have the option to visit the La Calera Hot Springs for some relaxation.
– Lunch: You’ll enjoy lunch in Chivay.
– Return to Arequipa: In the afternoon, you’ll begin the return trip to Arequipa, with stops at Patapampa (Mirador of the Andes), Alto Sumbay, and the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where you can see various species of South American camelids, especially vicuñas.
– Arrival Time: The return to Arequipa is scheduled for 5:00 PM.

Online Reservation
How to Book:

- Select your date: Choose the day of your trip. Daily availability.
- Complete Information: Fill in your details in the required fields.
- Payment: Proceed to payment with a debit or credit card.
- Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email with tour and payment details. Later, we will send you a second email with personalized and detailed information to help you prepare.
Reservation Deadline: You can book until 9:00 PM the day before the tour.
Online Booking Fee: A processing fee of 2.9% will be applied to the customer.
Reservations at Our Office
Location: Plaza Regocijo, Cusco. Our team will explain all the details of the tour and provide you with a map.
Payment Methods:
- Cash: We accept US dollars, euros, and Peruvian soles.
- Cards: Card payments are subject to a 3.9% commission.

Terms and Conditions of Booking
Agency Cancellations:
If Explore Peru 360 cancels the tour due to weather or political reasons, we will refund 100% of the tour cost to the customer.
Changes to the Reservation:
You can modify the date of your tour or change to another similar tour (Palcoyo, Laguna Humantay, Sacred Valley, 7 Lagoons) at no cost until 7 PM the day before the tour starts.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
- Full Refund: Cancellations up to 24 hours before the tour.
- Partial Refund: Cancellations between 24 hours and 7 PM the day before will receive 50%.
- No Refund: Cancellations after 7 PM the day before are not eligible for a refund.
